Assignment: Typographical Hierarchy Layout Exercise

This mini assignment lets you practice the principles of visual hierarchy.

Purpose

Demonstrate knowledge of typographical hierarchy.

Task

Using what you learned from the readings and video lectures, download Type-Exercise-2023.docx and format it. You can use either inDesign, Illustrator or Word.  The objective of this exercise is to make the unformatted text easier to read using the principles of typographical hierarchy.

  • There should be multiple size fonts used
  • Maximum of 3 fonts

Legibility The typefaces chosen are easy to read.  They are not kerned too tight/loose.
